Boti

Our first Icelandic Sheepdog, Boti, came to us in 1997, from our good friend, Stefania Dignum in Canada.  Boti was such a fine example of his breed, we were hooked on Icelandic Sheepdogs.  He is a wonderful fellow, with a beautiful build and a soft lustrous coat.  He is so sweet and loving, and very laid back.  At the time of his arrival, we also had a Golden Retriever.  She was about 9 years old, and after a few days was acting like a puppy again.  They became great friends.  Boti has sired a few litters of lovely puppies.

Embla

Embla "followed me home" from Iceland.  She belonged to a close friend of the wonderful woman who helped me import our Goa.  She was about 2 years old when she came to Limerick, and readily learned English and adapted to our home.  She is a great mom raising very contented puppies.

Valur

Our new fellow, Valur is the "pick of the litter" from his sire, Klumpur's 2001 litter, lovely coloring, beautiful medium coat, excellent conformation. He is playful, with a friendly, charming, disposition, and was a great source of amusement to our spring litter of puppies... playing tirelessly with 6 puppies, all climbing and biting on him... all at once. We have a wonderful new fellow, Valur,  added to our family. He sired his first litter of puppies in 2002.

Goa

Goa was our second Icelandic sheepdog and the first one we imported from Iceland.  She came to us when she was just 8 weeks old.   She is very sweet and full of energy.  Goa is a wonderful mom, raising  fat sassy puppies.

Gletta

Cheerful, happy, smiling Gletta, whose name means joke or tease. She's everybody's friend. With Gletta you can really see the "spitz" coming out in the facial characteristics of the breed... along with the intelligence, loyalty, and just plain love of fun.

Grisla and Snúthur

Grisla is a daughter of Valur and Goa, she is a little clown who always wants to play with Snúthur, our newest boy who arrived as a puppy in 2003 from Iceland. We say he followed us home, but that doesn't explain how he got under the seat on the airplane!  He's being used for his first litter this year and his puppies are too cute!  Grisla will be bred in 2006.

Icelandic Sheepdogs make wonderful, happy, and loyal, and agile pets and we are wildly enthusiastic about ours. However, as with any breed, these dogs have been bred to carry specific personality and physical traits which may, or may not, blend with your household.
