If you're looking to select from our hand dyed wools, this
is where you'll find our largest color selections, where
you'll get a first look at new rovings, and... where you can pick
up stock if we're transporting animals for you.
We occasionally attend shows with a few display sheep.
Those sheep are for sale at the end of the show, and if
you have in mind picking one up, you'll find an extra large dog
crate will transport most of our lambs home safe and sound. We
do not promise to travel with sheep, so if you want an animal be
sure to order one in advance. "Show Sheep" are by happenstance
or happy accident.

This year we again offered "on-farm clinics" for new shepherds.
The clinic was a big success (and lots of fun )and launched several
families into the adventure of lambing for the first time... with
confidence! If you're interested, please watch for the
2008 event. Covering two days, these clinics are designed to bring
you up to speed quickly and efficiently, build some confidence (you
can do this!). We've scheduled this event early enough in the spring
so you can go home and apply what you've learned to getting ready
and being prepared to deliver your own lambs in the Spring , or
take delivery of your sheep /lambs in the Fall.
At our on farm workshop, we will provide written materials and
a home cooked lunch and snacks on both days. Feel free
to bring a camera. We are not able to accommodate overnight guests
at the farm, although you are welcome to bring an RV, April
is still a bit cold for tent camping, but those strong and
brave souls feel free to camp!. There are some reasonably
priced motels and B&B's nearby.
Saturday's Clinic: Infrastructure: Is an overview
of fencing systems with an emphasis on the mysteries of electric,
pasture management, the feed needs of the Icelandic Sheep, buying
hay, storing hay and shelter requirements. We'll look at easy
shelters on a budget, constructing your own feeders, and what to
look for when buying ready made.We will discuss handling a sheep
(slippery little things..), hoof trimming, and cutting horns (just
in case you need to know!) and simple basics of shearing. Saturday
9:00 AM- 5:00PM
Sunday's Clinic: Basic Sheep Care: is a hand's
on practical designed to get you confident in your own abilities
and comfortable with basic sheep care. We'll cover sheep observation
with an eye to good health, administering drenches and pills, and
the quirks of the Icelandic Sheep's nutritional requirements and
lambing basics, including possible birth positions, post birth care,
and maternal needs. Sunday 9:00AM- 4:00PM
All participants must bring boots
that can be disinfected to wear in the sheep areas. (please
sign up using the form below)
Do you have questions or issues you would like addressed,
